The laundry basket is the one thing in your house you look at every day and never actually chose.

It was a supermarket run years ago, or it came with the flat. Which is why it lives behind a door. A basket you'd happily leave standing in the corner changes the whole feel of a room — and it costs less than the chair you've been piling clothes on.

Nothing to shove out of sight when someone knocks
Nothing splitting at the rim the first time you overfill it
Nothing that only looks right from one angle

Three sizes — Small, Medium and Large. Most people start with the Medium and come back for a Small for the bathroom.

Most laundry baskets ask you to choose between looking good and actually working.

What it's actually made of

Thick quilted cotton-poly

Structured enough to shrug off the splashes and damp towels that come with real laundry, still soft and breathable rather than stiff and plasticky.

Canvas handles, properly stitched

Sewn through the body rather than tacked to the rim, so a full basket goes up the stairs without you second-guessing the handle.

Holds its own shape

The quilting gives the walls enough body to stand upright on their own — no frame, no wire ring, nothing to snap.

Quilted cotton-poly blend · wrap-around print · stitched canvas handles · wipe clean or wash when needed · folds flat for storage

Common questions

Will it really stand up on its own, or does it slump?

It stands. The quilted walls are thick enough to hold their own shape without a wire frame or a plastic liner, so it stays upright empty, half full or piled to the top. It's why we make them quilted rather than from thin fabric.

How do I clean it?

Day to day, wipe it down with a damp cloth. When it needs more, wash it cool on a gentle cycle and let it air dry — don't tumble dry it, as the heat is what takes the shape out of quilted fabric.

Will the pattern rub off or fade?

No. The design is printed into the fabric rather than stitched or stuck on top, so there's nothing to peel or flake. Wash it cool and keep it out of hours of direct sun and it stays as it is.

Is every basket identical?

Very close, but not quite — and we'd rather say so. Each one is finished by hand, so the pattern meets the seam a little differently on every basket and the colour can sit a shade warmer or cooler than the photo. The design itself is always as shown. If yours isn't what you hoped for, you have 30 days to send it back.

Is it heavy to carry when it's full?

The basket itself is light — it's fabric, not moulded plastic or wood — so what you're carrying is mostly the washing. The canvas handles are stitched through the body so they take a full load without stretching at the seam.

Can I use it for anything other than laundry?

Yes. It works as toy storage in a playroom, blanket and throw storage beside the sofa, spare bedding in a wardrobe, or a tidy-up basket that gets carried room to room at the end of the day.

Does it make a good gift?

It's an easy gift — one for yourself and one for a daughter, a sister or a new home.

Can I return it if it's not right?

Yes. You have 30 days — if it's not right for the room, get in touch and we'll sort it out.
